Impact of National Laws and International Law on Decision-making of the Court of Justice of the European Union

(Department of International and European Law)

The Court of Justice of the European Union as the superior court of an unique supranational organization interprets its specific law which combines international and national (municipal) laws. This law, however, lacks century-long tradition. Therefore, instruments and concepts of both international law and national laws of the member states, especially of the elder and bigger ones, permeate into supranational law of the European Union. The aim of the conference section is identification and analysis of this phenomenon especially in topics addressed by teachers of the European Union.
